Sevika Sangham

The organization will be known as the Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sanghom and is an official organization of the Mar Thoma Church Staten Island. The organization is affiliated to the Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sanghom whose Head Quarters is in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India.

Objectives

• To help women of the Mar Thoma Church to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior.
• To help women to grow into the maturity and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
• To equip women for Christian fellowship and worship life and authentic family life.
• To facilitate women to develop loyalty to the Church and participate in the growth of various organizations and institutions of the Church.
• To equip women to participate in the mission of the Church.
• To organize seminars, classes, workshops, conferences, etc. to create interest in women in bible studies faith and practices of the church, history of the church and ecumenical fellowship.

Membership

Women members of the Mar Thoma Church who are 18 and above and willing to fulfill the above objectives will be the members of the Sevika Sanghom. Those who lose primary membership in the Church will lose membership in the organization.
